irish78eyes: I disagree there, you move from a dating site to another free online app in time, more time wasting not to mention free lol nothing invested dragged out over time, the only thing you invest in is the fantasy of it and feelings grow based on a fantasy. Online dating is the easy option, nothing invested only time and people have too much free time these days with social media at their fingertips, nothing genuine about it I agree, never online again for me. When you meet someone in person if you are tuned into reading people usually you know fairly soon if he's there to drink and dance or looking for another meal ticket.
You meet a guy through friends or out in a bar or wherever, it's totally different, you plan the dates in real time, get to know them, see in person the good and the bad and both decide to invest deeper...with online you can't do that you have to go on a message and either believe them or hope that it's genuine, and say you do this for years and end up meeting them...only then you'll see the flaws or perhaps even more good things about them, I'd rather reality and know what's what way before then
I've had my heart broken and I've had my wallet emptied. Once by the same person. Another time "just" my heart.
Which is worse? A broken heart or an empty wallet? The heart will heal. It takes a long time to fill your wallet up again but you do get there.
