Goody goody Dongg
Brother Dongg someone, no not one of the deplorable, said we are running scared.I don't feel scared just the opposite
Minimum wages and the middle class seem to be meeting in the middle. Most of the middle class is falling down onto to a rising minimum wage afforded by working ungodly and/or unpaid hours and a general decline in wokring conditions. An employee even a part-time employee has little life of his or her own - come in for your 4-hour shift that starts at 1am etc. The worker is becoming more flexible as bosses grow more ruthless and this has opened up low-end up opportunities. Workers will be paid a little more on the understanding that they never clock off, actual working hours will be kept low it's more about getting up in the middle of the night to work 45 minutes and making sure you're never paid overtime.
In many ways this is not like the 1960s. Young Americans work hard in 2019 with little prospect of becoming middle class - either that or they fall into state of dysfunction - in the 1960s young Americans were a generation of universal low effort anticipating a golden ticket into the middle class afforded by their inheritance.
There's wage growth at the bottom and, of course, extreme wage growth at the top. But you don't appreciate that wage growth is coming from rising minimum wages just as much as the left doesn't appreciate the human cost of raising minimum wages. What the boss will have his workers do then. And there's another question. When pay goes up for a large class of people with no prospect of owning their own home what do the landlords do?
You have to redress the balance of the economy in a way that works for normal people. People who make money and earn money must have a share in the economy at the expense of those who already have money. It's a good economy for landlords, penionsers and others people who own shares, but a bad one for those who add value and come up with the goods.
Speaking of the moon, I bet Diamond´s dad wishes he shot into space, and not in his wife

"There are lies, damned lies, and statistics."- Mark Twain
The economy & employment improved after '08.Well...fúckin' DUHH The economy had tanked in '08 and it had nowhere to go but up whether Barry O or anybody else was Prez!!
When one looks at a bigger picture, it is clear, that Trump has had no effect on the unemployment rate. The change in the direction of the rate coincided with whenObama initiated the company bailouts. The country has been on a steady recovery in jobs since. If there was a significant change in direction, that could be attributed to Trump. But, there has been no change in direction. The net effect, is that Trump has done nothing significant to affect the unemployment rate.I've shown the evidence several times before, which has been ignored by Trump's rah rah band. But here is the most updated graph of it, again indicating no change in the direction of the line. You are thanking the wrong president. Thank goodness Trump did not inherit a financial crisis, like Obama did.
Learn to read a chart Soupy. You may pretend to be a professor but it certainly wasn't in Economics. I'd stick to your real profession.....knock off jewelry.....lol.
You never did understand math, did you Stupee ?Click on the above graph to see the full picture moron.
Already have Soup....ever heard of Statistics....the course that is. They teach you to interpret a chart and how easily unlearned people can be mislead. Sorry professor....lol
^^^^Yup.Refer to the Twain quote in my comment above Also -"Statistics don't lie. But liars use statistics."- My Dad (Don't know it was original with him or if he'd heard it somewhere )
D. Nothing to do with Trump. Was Clinton and Obama.
Dopey - I have an understanding of statistics FAR beyond some maggot, who preys off alcoholics for a living would. Far beyond what is needed to understand the simple graph I posted from the Department of Labor. That graph is easy for anyone who has passed 5th grade math. The last CHANGE IN DIRECTION of the resultant line was after Obamabailed out key failing companies. Since then, it has continually headed down IN THE SAME DIRECTION. Nothing since then has made any SIGNIFICANT change in the direction of the line. The line would have continued down with Trump or without Trump. He has had NO significant impact upon it. He just CLAIMS he has. Like it (if you are smart), or not (if you are a dope), we all, as a country, benefited from the action taken by Obama.
you have very little grasp of statistiscs Jimmy , you show it weekly . That does not mean it can't be better than others though . You do have a skill of finding crap to back you crap rather than letting facts sit where they land .
D. Nothing to do with Trump. Was Clinton and Obama. Not FDR?
