https://youtu.be/2Vv-BfVoq4gOne of my favourite songs. Can someone post the video please? That will be "perfect" !
I wonder if logic is not possible to answer your question...but it is more of a matter of feeling.....of perhaps an inherent standard some set for themselves, and the feeling of that standard not being met drives them to that perceived perfection.perfection is beauty/completeness/calmness/satisfaction to the mind's eye.
Hi Jimmy..how sweet of you! Thanks.
We as individuals (I think) set goals for ourselves, could even be unconsciously well some of them and as beauty is in the eye of the beholder so is perfection. Morning Daniela
I'm far from perfect have made plenty of mistakes/decisions over the years..I'm perfect with my cleanliness because I love to feel clean & I love to clean..I try very hard to perfect my technique at the gym so as to achieve the results I seek.Other than the above I have better things to do than waste my time trying to be perfect with everything in life..As long as I'm kind to people and keep things real that will do me.
Hi Johnny You're right.."satisfaction to the mind's eye" but..Some people never seem to be satisfied. That's why I wrote " according to one's own perception".
That's right Red.."beauty is in the eye of the beholder"...and so is perfection. The person who has just completed some artwork might not see it being perfect..in their eyes..while someone else might see it as a beautiful piece of art..without thinking of perfection.
I agree with your statement Merc..and I like your philosophy.
In all the universe from its own perception it is perfect. The universe cannot judge against itself good or bad.Only humans who have the ability to reason can we rationalize perfection or what is objectionable.Does the animal kingdom discern perfection? Every human has their own idea of perfection and it's unfortunate that every human is spending more time and energy looking at our imperfections that they have no vision to see the good in people. We can look upon an art piece and marvel it's detail we can judge it to be a masterpiece. Or we can judge it to be a piece of crap. Either way it was a thought from someone's mind. We either approve of it or we don't. We can look upon each other and see all the profiles. Since we respond visually mostly we can discern beauty to average to ugliness. It's to individual taste. Yet, as we struggle to gain perfection within ourselves we end up making things worse in some cases. It's human nature to seek approval among each other. If we can't approve of ourselves as we are, nobody else will approve either. Often times artists are more critical of themselves and others. They have their vision of what they think is beautiful. They have their vision of what their ideal world of beauty should or could be. Those with self esteem issues may not or ever see the beauty they have within. Hence, they can often attach themselves to people or things they perceive as better or prettier or more smarter or more handsome etc. to make themselves feel better about themselves. Yet, not everything or everyone we see is as they appear. You don't always get what you see. Those who like to preach you get what you see are the ones to worry about the most. Hence, a tree is known by it's fruit is bears. Overall, ask twice as much you think you deserve and settle for half. It's better than having nothing or no one at all.
Nice to see you back Prom..and that the hurricane didn't get you.
Of course..everything you say makes sense!
Perception for Perfection :)Yup lol Hi Daniela
Hello dear lady I'm glad I made you laugh.
Hi daniela,I'm far from being perfect.
I think my trademark is imperfection.
I think "perfect" as a standard hinges on one's perceptions but a meticulously mapped-out task can be done "perfectly".
How he do it, how he dooo iiiit ? Lol
Hi Bw.. Hi Fay.. There's nothing wrong with imperfection.Did you listen to my song?
Hi Baldly.. I suppose so.. Reminds me of Wabi Sabi...a Japanese word meaning acceptance of imperfection and seeing beauty in it.
